THINK: Join the Rafiki Link Circle
Schools, clubs, and interested groups are welcomed to join the circle of support around the Rafiki Link schools in Kenya. The largest primary school in Maai Mahiu, Ngeya Primary School, is home to over 1,600 primary school students. With only 17 classrooms available for the entire student body, the average classroom size is over 100 students. For every classroom we build, the government of Kenya will provide a teacher. Host your fundraiser today to provide opportunities to Kenyan children.
LINK: Rafiki Link In Your Classroom
Are you a teacher or youth worker with a desire to connect to the world? Are you willing to challenge your students – and yourself – by integrating pictures, text, and video from Kenyan students into your curriculum? Make the developing world “come alive” for your students by exploring Rafiki Link’s interactive lesson material. Your class will receive material from students in Kenya which corresponds to approximately the same grade-level as your students. As you learn about Kenya, you can choose to take action by fundraising, letter-writing and advocacy, and more.
ACT: Become a Rafiki Link Sister School
Is your school ready to “Think – Link – and ACT”? Building a sister-school connection allows your school to build relationships with a specific classroom of students in Kenya over the period of several years. Your class can write essays and have Kenyan students peer-review these essays. You can set up math, science, or art competitions. Your school can communicate with your sister classroom through phone conversations, video-messages, and more.
